The New Champions Training Center is Almost Here!!!

With any big project there are bound to be delays and this project is no different. When you are doing a HUGE project like this, permitting delays and construction delays are a part of the process. Now construction is in full swing and our construction team is working hard to get us ready to open the doors. The combat sports wing of our fitness super center is almost done and we’ll be starting paint, decoration and the equipment install very soon. Our smoothie bar, lobby, yoga, spin and aerial yoga rooms will be complete shortly thereafter.

We are building something AMAZING! This is going to be a fitness and sport compound like nothing else ever seen in Savannah. You’ll have your choice of MMA, Boxing , Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Muay Thai, fitness bootcamp classes, cardio kickboxing, yoga, aerial yoga, bungee fitness, spin classes, personal training and more. We will be a one stop shop for all things health, fitness and combat sports!

CTC Is Moving To An Amazing New Location!!!

CTC is working hard to get our AMAZING new location up and running. Our new location is in the heart of historic Downtown Savannah and is part of an awesome new fitness complex that will have Bungee Fitness, Aerial Yoga, Yoga, spin classes, a juice bar and more. CTC will have a beautiful, 2 story unit in this complex that will bring the Low Country the same elite combat sports and fitness training we have for over 20 years.

For the time being, we are training at our affiliate gym, Pitbull MMA, in Allenhurst. Muay Thai is Monday and Wednesday at 6pm, Boxing Tuesday/Thursday at 6. Grappling is every day at 7.

Our planned date for our grand opening at our new location is August 1st. We are excited for our students, athletes and clients and very excited for our friends and partners at Soar Bungee Fitness who are helping us bring this AMAZING facility to life!!!

We will be rolling out some new early bird specials in the coming weeks so check back here often for updates and some amazing deals.

Brandon “Bam Bam” Moran Remains Undefeated!!!

Champions Training Centers Brandon “Bam Bam” Moran excited the crowd at Fury FC 84 with a spectacular first round submission win. This event aired live on UFC Fight Pass to millions of viewers around the world.

Brandon dominated the fight from start to finish with aggressive striking strong takedowns and dominant grappling. His opponent, who had never been finished , tapped to a Kimura after Brandon popped his shoulder.

Brandon is now 4-0 as a pro and 8-0 as an amateur. This win gets him one step closer to signing to a major organization like UFC or PFL.

Get to know Coach Muhsin

Muhsin Corbbrey is a lifetime martial artist that has been able to reach the highest levels of many different combat sports. During his martial arts tenure, Muhsin has competed at the highest levels of MMA, Muay Thai, Boxing and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu earning world, national, regional and state titles along the way. Muhsin has comprised a 39-15-1 professional record over a remarkable 20 year professional fight career.

Muhsin holds the rank of Black Belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the rank of Black Belt in Judo. He also has years of training in Muay Thai and has trained and competed extensively in Thailand. He is the only person to earn the title of Kru from 8 time Muay Thai World Champion Manu Ntoh. Muhsin is also an amateur boxing champion and an accomplished professional boxer.

Through out his career, Muhsin has competed in some of the biggest events in the world including World Extreme Cagefighting(WEC), Glory World Series(kickboxing), EliteXC, Titan FC, Combate Extremo and Martial Combat. His fights have been televised on major networks around the world including Showtime, SpikeTV, Fox Sports, ESPN Asia and AXStv. His career has taken him all over the world with fights in Thailand, Mexico, Singapore, Australia, Panama. Muhsin has also fought in the worlds fight capital, Las Vegas, on multiple occasions.

Muhsin was recently inducted into the Georgia Fighters MMA Hall of Fame for his numerous achievements and commitment to the growth and development of martial arts in Georgia. 

Muhsin is the head coach at Champions Training Center in Savannah, Georgia. Champions Training Center houses Savannah’s top martial arts athletes and has produced champions in Boxing, Muay Thai, MMA and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. CTC has produced UFC, Bellator, XFC, Glory and WEC vets and their athletes consistently fight at the highest level of combat sports.

Champions Training Center’s Brandon Moran Electrifies in His Pro Debut!!!!

Top Georgia MMA prospect, Brandon “BAM BAM” Moran looked like a seasoned pro in his professional debut! Brandon made his pro debut at CFFC 100 in Tampa, Florida which was aired live on UFC Fightpass. He showed exactly why he was the top 145lb amateur in the South East displaying brutal striking and dominant ground control. CFFC is a feeder show to the UFC and has launched the careers of superstars like Paul Felder , Aljamain Sterling, Jim Miller and more.

CTC Started 2020 With A Bang!!!

Champions Training Center has started 2020 out undefeated with some Amazing performances from our Athletes!!

First up was Moses Hickman Jr. Moses won the Regional Silver Gloves Amateur Boxing Tournament in North Carolina, stamping his ticket to the Nationals coming up January 29th through February 2nd. Moses won his bout with beautiful combinations, stopping his opponent in the 3rd round.

Brandon Moran and Josh Blyden were up next in MMA action at NFC 123 in Atlanta, GA!

Brandon was up first facing the extremely tough, #1 ranked Mike Wilson. From the opening bell, Brandon dominated every aspect of the fight. Brandon dropped his opponent early in the first round with a hard left hook and continued to batter him until the round ended. Round 2 and 3 were highlighted by beautiful combinations, strong kicks and dominant ground control.

After the final bell, Brandon Moran won a unanimous decision and reaffirmed that he is the best 145lb Amateur in the state.

#1 ranked 145lb pro Josh Blyden showed exactly why he is the top featherweight in the region. Josh faced 145lb powerhouse Kongo Bakatukanda in the main event of NFC 123.

After some early exchanges, Josh began to walk Kongo down with hard punches and kicks. Josh secured a tight guillotine choke as Kongo attempted to recover from a takedown. Kongo was forced to tap less than 3 minutes into the first round!

With this win, Josh moves his professional record to 8-2 and is looking to sign a contract with a major organization in the very near future!

Coach Muhsin Returns From Guest Trainer Spot At Fairtex Training Camp

Coach Muhsin Corbbrey returns from Thailand today after spending the last month working with Fairtex Training Center‘s MMA fight team.  Coach Muhsin taught Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and the MMA Competition Team classes, working with MMA and Muay Thai Champions in preparation for their upcoming fights OneFC and Abu Dhabi Warriors.

Fairtex MMA groupCoach Muhsin was joined by BJJ Superstar DJ Jackson as they worked with some of the top athletes in South East Asia.  These athletes include 2 division OneFC Muay Thai Champion and undefeated MMA fighter Stamp Fairtex, hard hitting OneFC superstar Mark Abelardo, undefeated OneFC contender Denice Zamboanga, and Abu Dhabi Warriors top contenders James Bishop and Priya Sharma.  All of these athletes have extremely bright futures ahead of them!

Muhsin also coached BJJ athletes of all levels while in Thailand.

Muhsin has competed at the highest level of combat sports with fights in WEC, Glory Kickboxing, Elite XC, Titan FC, Kunlun Fights, Martial Combat and more.
